Accept the Challenge - Bike Ms
Dear friends,

Help Our Team in the Fight Against MS!

On May 22, 2010 I will be for the second time cycling 50 miles in the National MS Society, Mid-Jersey Chapter’s 19th annual “Coast the Coast” MS Bike Tour to help fight the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. Nearly 3,000 cyclists and volunteers will participate in this exciting event.

The number of people living with multiple sclerosis increases every hour of every day. This astonishing rate is not going to diminish, nor will it stop, until we’ve found a cure. Research has made some incredible advances recently, but the world can still only offer disease management drugs and therapies to the 400,000 people living with MS in America.

We’ve formed a team for the MS Bike Tour because we know that riding 50 miles is nowhere near as difficult as confronting a lifetime with multiple sclerosis. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society gives us all reason to hope, though. In addition to supporting novel research projects around the globe, they also provide much needed education, programs, and services to everyone who is affected by MS – including the diagnosed, their friends and families, and the healthcare professionals who work with them.

Friends and I will be riding for my wife Laurie and our dear friend Joe Esteves. As you are probably aware, the illness hit us close to home when Laurie was diagnosed not long ago. We were devastated at first but now are determined to manage it as best as possible and also to help others afflicted by it. My personal goal is to raise $7,500 in sponsorships for this exciting event. With your help, I hope to make a difference in the lives of those living with MS.

Join our team as a cyclist or a volunteer! Make a donation online! Send in a check! Talk to your employer about becoming a sponsor of the MS Bike Tour! There are so many ways to make a difference in the fight against MS, and it all begins right here.

To send a check, please make it out to National Multiple Sclerosis Society and mail it to me at

Hey guys,
Most of you know that for the past two and half years i have been a pediatric resident in Mt Sinai Hospital. I have had the fortune of  taking care of remarkable kids that have battled and fought various types of cancers.   Unfortunately, there are types of cancers that are extremely aggressive  and no matter how tough the patient is and how strong their will  to live is, these patients loose the battle to cancer.
I’m raising money for a very important cause:  finding better treatments and cures for blood cancers so patients can live better, longer lives through The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk. I’m asking you to help by making a contribution!  Please use the link in this email to donate online quickly & securely.  You will receive an email confirmation of your donation as soon as it is made. I thank you in advance for your support which will make a difference in the lives of thousands of patients battling blood cancers.

I really appreciate your generosity!!
