Holiday Toy Drive

Spread holiday joy to our city’s underserved children. Donate a new, unwrapped toy for a child in need whose mother receives services of Sanctuary for Families, a nonprofit organization dedicated exclusively to serving domestic violence victims and their children.

Donation bin is located in JCC lobby.

Cross Attracted: Using Personality Research to Find Your Perfect Match
(For Men & Male-Identified)

Cross Attracted uses the latest in personality research to place participants into groups based on aspects of their personality. Between rounds all the groups will sip complimentary glasses of wine, mix and mingle and meet fellows from the other groups as well. To learn more about how it works click here.

Community Chanukah Celebration

Spin the dreidel with friends from Gay and Lesbian Yeshiva Day School Alumni (GLYDSA), JQYouth and The JCC in Manhattan for the annual LGBTQ Jewish Community Chanukah party at the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, 208 West 13th Street. For more info visit glydsa.

Nehirim/CBST Community Shabbat Dinner

Join hundreds of GLBT Jews, partners, and allies for a community-wide Shabbat dinner, sponsored by Nehirim, Congregation Beth Simchat Torah, the JCC in Manhattan, He’Bro, and other cosponsoring organizations, coinciding with the 8th night of Chanukah.


The dinner, strictly kosher and catered by the Village Crown, will be preceded by services at CBST (beginning at 7pm), and followed by a tisch (shabbat celebration-starting around 10:30pm).

Pricing is $35 base rate, $25 discounted rate, and $45 supporter rate.

Ma’agal: the Nehirim Womens’ Group

A new support group for Jewish women facing questions of sexuality, gender and religion. The group is primarily oriented toward lesbians but all women are invited to participate.
